I love the shot where the snake has his tongue out! It looks like the garden is growing very well!

Perhaps my parents should have done something similar for me when I was your kids' age. Because they didn't, I hate Ropey and all his brethren. If I see them, I walk the other way a bit quicker than normal.

JimmyCC, I really like that shot too. Thanks for the garden compliment. We are just waiting for the devastation hammer to drop--blight, hail, insect attack and/or other to be named.

Ed, Yes I have a natural fear of snakes too. As often as I have tried to overcome it, I have little to no success. My college roommate had a ten foot Burmese rock python. Quetzalcoatl would regularly escape the confines of his cage and occasionally I would find him cozied up to me in the morning. Yikes but eventually I didn't freak out too badly.
Tabitha is not frightened of snakes. We are trying to pass along each others strengths and not the fears.

I like the mini chicken tractor idea. I hope you don't mind me appropriating it.

Is it heavy enough to stay in place during a windstorm?

The berries look awesome- that's next on my planting list. I like how wide your garden rows are, and the straw is around the plants, but the rows can have weeds, etc. esp. for the chickens. For the beetles I use the store-bought trap, comes in a package with two bags- but then switch to black plastic trash bags hanging from the same lure- seems to work until the bags get really full! Cool mini-tractor too...
