farm kids

Farm kids and their barn.

Fall is here and they are enjoying the weather. Out-of-doors is the place to be. Much later after these photos they moved a bunch of soft hay to the drop-zone and started jumping.

It seemed like a good way to help increase bone density but I stopped them anyway since rome needed to be involved and I was terrified of broken limbs.

The kids are really excited that my parents are coming to visit soon. I am finally plumbing the outdoor shower this evening. Our set-up isn't really visitor conducive but when you really want visitors you make-due.

I worked all yesterday on the alternative energy company's website. Morning to night, I need to take more breaks today. I had many braincells that thought they were in retirement. I recalled them to action. Tabitha said there were probably many new recruits. I'm not sure that was a nice thing to say;)

Happy Fall everyone. We are really enjoying the weather I hope you are too.

the barn looks fantastic! that is a great picture of the kids too. it's rare to capture them all together, isn't it?

lol on the brain cells. i've had a few come out of their drunken stupor by swearing off alcohol for 3 months. now hopefully i can get them to function. :)

The weather here has been awesome as well, It's hard to believe how much more you can get accomplished in cooler weather. Don't tell your kids but we use to always get up in the loft of our neighbors barns and have corncob fights, we played it like king of the mountain, if the guys on the ground made it to the loft they took over the loft. I wasn't to bad until someone would find water logged cob then the game was over and stitches normally followed.

Enjoy the Fall,

Tim

That is an awesome photo of your kids,it is great seeing kids enjoying life to the max and being kids.

I think Autumn (fall) is the best season, it is so pretty and the weather is perfect.

tansy, you have been here and know how high that loft is. toly told tabitha "rome jumped and he didn't die." frightening what kids will get themselves up to.

tim, these kids don't need any ideas. the kick it up a notch all on their own.

white lilly, in the heat of the summer fall is my favorite season then in the cold of winter spring is my favorite. funny how that works...

Yeah, I can empathize on the brain cells. I ponder the diminishing returns of technology when a simple minor thing consumes hours...

You'll have to see if freecycle yields a dozen or so old mattresses. :)

Well, I guess I should say "the diminishing returns of complexity" to be more accurate.

Wow, the barn is really nice. The kids sure look like they're having a good time. My grandsons are four and two - they would love a place like that...

I'm sure you'll rise to the occasion. Happy fall. It's currently (and all the time) 80 degrees here - envy you guys

I'm with you on the love for Fall. We have finally got some much needed rain, and it's currently raining hard here. I had to set up the heat lamp for the baby chicks, but they're nice and dry in their pen.

My Peter is the same age as Rome and I'd freak if I knew he jumped from that height!! He already gets himself in some precarious positions all on his own-- like climbing the bookshelf in the living room, all the way to the top, then letting go and falling to the couch. I think it may be time to screw the bookshelf to the wall!

Great pic of the kids by the way-- future Christmas photo??? :o)

Beautiful pictures. They look so happy. Fall is my favorite time of year. I often don't appreciate it enough though because I dread the winter here in the Northeast. Keep enjoying the cool days!
