bathroom progress II (photos)

the toilet is out in the yard, literally.

the tile goes down

here the toilet is back in it's proper place. the supervisors approve.

a glimpse of the future

when they said the difficulty rating on this was difficult i didn't expect it to be so difficult on the physical scale.

The apple bath looks like a great place for a nice, long, hot soak. Very cool.

Oh Karl, I had a quick minute this early morning and had to come over to see how everyone was feeling. So glad to see the gorgeous bath!!! Must mean all are on the mend.

Your bathroom skills just might inspire me to get to my own bath project. I have a small leak under our toilet (probably a wax ring thing), but the previous home owners grouted all the way up to the toilet. So, I think I'll have to chip it out. Not so fun!

Over the last 24 hours I've read your entire blog which leaves an odd sort of feeling that I've been peeking through the kitchen window. ;) I've enjoyed reading about the amazing transformation you've made on your homestead and the sense of peace that your family seems to carry. (and I love the tile - we used the very same to finish our basement and the color always makes me smile.)

thanks for all the complements.

anon, yeah the bathroom used to be a tiny bedroom and even tinier bath. we combined them because neither room was acceptable as they were and this is a very grand solution for us.

eren, i don't envy the work you have ahead on re-doing your bath. although, i'll say that ours has been worth every moment of work, bloody finger, heated discussion, and hemorrhage of money.

deborah, thanks for your virtual voyeurism. i find blogging a very healthy exercise and enjoy the feedback.
