edamame aka fresh soybeans

tabitha and co. are picking and freezing edamame. these were a breeze to grow. we planted them, after it was warm enough, next to a soaker hose. we watered them whenever we watered the garden. harvesting them consisted of cutting the entire plant and bringing them inside and sitting at the kitchen table to pick the beans.

the kids were playing with the other garden harvest while we picked the pods. all of these little squash fit so nicely in this egg carton.

stacking the pumpkins is a game of skill and coordination.

romeo is our blue andalusian. he is a smaller breed so he's developing quicker. he just started crowing the other day. he likes to jump up on the fence, being sure that the girls are watching, and crow his best crow
